Ionicsalts Affiliate Terms and Policies

Please review our policies and important information below. [effective August 15, 2006]

At our option, we (Ionicsalts) work with select individuals, groups, companies or organizations with fund raising/income goals to assist in our marketing via an affiliate program.

An affiliate, by definition, is an independent representative paid commission for sales generated on our website via customers which originate from the trackable affiliate link placed on the representative's web page/site/presence.

Sales are tracked electronically by use of a "cookie" which is set in the user's browser when the affiliate link is clicked. This cookie expires after 90 days, which means anytime the user visits our site and makes a purchase within this 90 days (or as long as the cookie exists), you will earn a commission on those sales.

All orders are placed and paid via our website at listed prices. No commission is paid on sales tax or billed shipping charges.

Commission is paid at a base rate of 10% of merchandise sale. Please be mindful that we are also paying credit card processing fees averaging 3% and many orders qualify for free shipping which on average is 15 to 20% of the sales price; this goes without considering supplies or labor costs too. We may at times offer percentage increases for affiliates' sales performance on a per-case basis.

Adjustments will be made to commission for product returned for credit. These instances are extremely rare (< 1%), but have happened. All website sales come with an unconditional 30-day satisfaction guarantee.

Due to IRS tax rules, all U.S. paid commissions must be reported on 1099 forms. We do not require Tax ID or Social Security information at online registration, it is optional; however, affiliates are required to provide this information to us before any payment can be sent. If an applicant chooses not to provide this info at registration, it should supplied by other means as soon as possible.

Commission checks are issued based on calendar quarter sales and checks are mailed by First Class US Mail, no later than the 25th day of the month following the end of the quarter. If this becomes a hardship, or if you need expedited delivery, please let us know so other arrangements may be made.

We do not ship outside of the United States at this time; and if we were to do so in the future it would be with a significant added fee for shipping.

Lack of sales activity for two consecutive quarters (6 months) will constitute abandonment and the affiliate code will be deactivated.

All text, images, and graphics on our website (ionicsalts.com) are copyrighted materials and may not be copied or used without expressed, specific written permission and limited scope. As an affiliate, if you need a product photo for your site, please contact us. Text may be re-written or paraphrased, but not copied word-for-word. We are diligent in protecting our IP rights and investment, as many other websites have learned.

We will provide banner images of various sizes and colors for you to choose for your website, html code is provided for proper linking - this includes your affiliate code.

All lamp wholesalers are entitled to become affiliates upon request, there is no requirement that they do so. Likewise, affiliates need not be stocking wholesalers.

We reserve the right to accept or deny an application based on any of several criteria. Foremost is the affiliate's website. Under no circumstances can we allow sites containing or promoting gambling, pharmaceuticals, sexual themes or pornography, violence, hatred, or link farms with no content; additionally, affiliates cannot engage in any kind of spamming, mass-emailing (non "opt-in"), making false claims, or giving medical advice without license - as this is grounds for immediate removal without notice. If in doubt, please ask us.

Basically, all submissions are subject to our discretion. If we deny a registration, we will notify via the email address provided.

These services are not freely included with the affiliate program, but available with very reasonable pricing.
